shhhh...snuggling in the clouds

As if running through the pages,
tearing them out one by one.
Till I got to the sweetest chapter
that is written out of pure love.

It's titled after "forevermore"
revealing what a soul can endure,
cleverly written like a fairytale
a reminder love indeed prevails.

I felt the bonding of two spirits
as we soared the heavens blue,
uniting in away that only souls
of lovers can do.

You paint my sky with shades of blue,
there's always sunshine when I'm with you.
That is what our love can really do
as you stroke the key of various hues.

Cliché "the comfortable shoe"
it is always special and new,
rewriting "forever and a day"

The world around us hasn't a clue,
they wouldn't know just what to do.
Everyday I spend in love with you
ignites my soul to see life through.

Reflection

It is a beautiful summer day and it has me out walking through the stream. The cool mountain water bringing a comfort to the my feet as it lowered body temperatures. I can't help but take my camera with me, the damselfly has hatched or should I say damselflies as they flutter over top the waters. One stood still long enough that I could get a quick photo. They always amaze me with their bright colors that are so unique to nature. This one especially cool has I also caught it's reflection in the leaf.
It is one of those deep thinking moments, " what does our reflection tell us about ourselves?" I see in my reflection the love we share, the smiles that come with thoughts of you and the joy of a world where two souls unite and bring happiness to one another. Ah! there I go with simplicity, the smallest moments create the largest memories.
Oh no! I am drifting off into another daydream. I call this daydream" sweet contentment. "Oh, yes what a visual. There I am in your arms, heart rate slows, eyes closed and our lips meet. I can feel your energy as I absorb the power of your love. Click, click, frame after frame of peace, contentment with a dash of passion. Pulling you closer, close , close...yeah that is close enough. You are amazing and wonderful and not a day goes by without my gratitude.

Funny what triggers a memory. I was thinking about the time my sisters and I slept in the attic. The four of us had to be quiet. My father was strict and so no laughing giggling or singing after 9 pm. The light from the street pole allowed us to make shadow puppets on the wall. With our hands we would make all these shapes, butterflies , birds, spiders, etc .I haven't thought back about that time in awhile. The simplicity of childhood even in some of the most difficult times , children can find away to entertain themselves.
Simplicity it made think of how easy it is to love to you, to share a moment in the day. I treasure these years with you. It is a bit of magic, rolled in a dusting of passion , baked with love , as it leaves a sweetness deep in my soul.

When life is a bit overwhelming, I realize I at that time forgot the importance of the kitchen dance. Pulls you close and holds you tight, leans into you for a kiss as I whisper " I love you."
