Word to word a page we write
as a chapter quickly reveals,
sometimes sorrow and happiness
that's what our story tells.

Emotions all untethered
soaring to heaven's high
like a bird to the blue
thoughts can't be denied.

Each moment of life
etched onto my heart
a lifelong reminder
that we are both near
