Joy

I felt it as I closed my eyes
as if the breeze was given life,
it gently touched my cheek
as I turned in for the night.

There's a calm within me
like a blanket of peace
where love meets passion
and a joy is released.

The mirrored reaction
can't always be explained
but I am most certain
it wasn't chance that brought
you my way.

for that sweet taste of you,
as I held my pillow tight
your vision made it through.

I smiled at the image
of your soul entwined with mine
and felt the happiness
while letting out a sigh.

There is something unique
and quite heavenly
as two hearts come together
