I ask for no more than you my love can give,
for I have all that is needed for in my heart you live.

Unlock my heart that I may feel
the sweet touch of love to my
soul  leaves a  brazen chill.

Open my eyes so that I'll see,
the visions of love when you
are side by side close to me.
As the flames reach beyond their realm of existence,
I feel your love touch my heart and embrace my spirit.
~

When hearts are pure and passion flows free,
the souls are unleashed by love to
soar through all our dreams.

~
Page by page recorded the steps we take
through life, some are filled with heartache
and have not been very nice. But love is
so endearing and wonderful indeed and
as we travel further we have only to believe.

~

Your presence is felt like the wind to my cheek...
~
I placed my faith in the Lord above,
I knew he guide me safe and like the
waves that reach the shore your love
in my heart can be traced.

The Lord said " no more sorrow, no
fear shall you face, for you have met
with the earthly angels and they will
bargain with the hands of fate."

Tears welled up behind my eyes and
I thought just one would fall, until I
heard the words of love from the
mountains call.

Thanksgiving Review

My eldest son held thanksgiving dinner this year and though I tried to help him in the kitchen, I laughed as he scrambled about trying to make sure everything was warm at the same time. I looked on at my adult children who had all come together in a family celebration. It was some feat from the little boys who fussed with the potatoes in the kitchen, slid on the baking flour and ran around in their Batman and Robin P J's singing to a broom as a microphone .   The flash of memories reminded me of all that I had to be grateful for, but it was the steaming hot gravy that brought to mind my grandmother. I never realized just how important she was in my life. My grandfather had passed away long before I was born and my grandmother was a very strong individual. She always did her best to make a holiday and though it was a standing joke that the gravy was the only thing hot, it was amazing that she did so much alone. Once each school year we would go to where grandma worked and there I think is where she had the most impact on me. I saw her beauty, her smile, the sparkle in her eye, strength, wisdom and the love in her. She played a big part in my life, she taught me courage, the will to do and believe and balance and  that hard work rewards us with the proper time to relax. She loved to dress up, she loved the shimmer and sparkle and she loved life. As the day came quickly to and end, I had to give thanks that through such a young life of turmoil that I had such a person to look up to.

I am grateful for all the experiences,
past and present.

Nothing is more wonderful than reaching out
for your hand and feeling you reaching back.
~
...they must be tears of happiness....I love you.

~

...wipes a tear and smiles, thinks of you!

Holiday movies and silly songs,
wishes and dreams of where I belong.
Snowflakes in a winter storm on
the stage of life they miraculously
perform.

Love brings me close to you and there
is nothing we can't do. We'll take all
forms of time and create a concerto
 out of a love chime.

~

The words all mingled together and I knew
not what they meant, except for the words
of love which appeared to be heaven sent.
They cast you in my dreams and placed
you in my heart and gave light to the dark.

Scattered here to where you are and
placed together ignited a spark. The
power of my dreams is placing you
in my arms for all eternity.

My soul enlightened and the heaviness gone,
for I  now know exactly where I do belong.
Stars in the heavens twinkling bright, the
glow shining down in a wonderful sight.

The angels are singing our sing, the
song of love and how time did us wrong.
Stand still when I am near you and close
to your heart, don't let another moment
keep us apart.

~
Holiday dreams and I am with you,
simple magic where dreams come
true.

No promises needed for you have
my heart and that is the reason
we will never part.
~

It is not about the holiday lights,
but the colored ones will do, as
I decorate for Christmas with
colors from red to green and blue.

Twinkle of magic and a dusting from
a far sprinkled love gently over our
hearts. Sweet kisses warm so
tenderly share the spirit of love
that took a hold of me..

Flattened a mountain and bridged the
mighty sea, placed you in my arms
where you were always meant to be.
Dance my love, dance with me, for
we are forever, like forever should be.

my dreams of you.

Sings.. and have yourself a Merry Litlle Christmas Day!

The holidays actually bring really good memories as a child. From my father finding days after Christmas that Santa Claus actually did leave a gift for me, but it fell out of his bag and it was on the roof top all the time. We had a church that lit on the front lawn and it had a speaker attached and it played holiday songs all day till dark. We use to go door to door and sing holiday songs, seems like a lot of that doesn't happen as much anymore. Though we still make a day of it to cut down a Christmas tree. Which this year will be December 6th, which is actually St Nicholas day and my son's birthday. Which brings to mind the children putting their shoes out on St. Nicholas to see if they would get a small treat or gift.

My grandmother wasn't the usual rocking chair grandma and I believe she has the most amount of impact or influence on me. There was always a sense of a pride when we would visit her at work and the trips to downtown Pittsburgh were always so much fun, especially at the holidays. Crowd would line up in rows to watch the animated holidays windows, I can rememeber squeezing between the crowd of people to get a glimpse of the magical windows.
It is the ever important first that always seem to hold a special place in your heart. I thought that there was allot about childhood I didn't remember and than some of the most simplistic memories flowed through the cracks to create page after page of memories. As if like a cartoon book that is drawn one cell after another, the memories came back to life. From picking out my very first dress for kindergarten with my grandmother, to dining in the main resturant in the department store, to core current memories. Each day we are in the process of creating a first, that we will retain and store forever in our hearts. So this year I wish everyone a happy first moment, may each day be filled with dreams that do come true.

I like the first snowfall,
sparkling white,
a dusting upon the hills
to light up the night.

The cool crisp air,
that whips through
the air, to waken
the spirit and allow
dreams to appear.

I like the memories,
warm to my heart,
leads through the
morning, surfaces
in the dark.

The music inviting
and wonderful as
can be, speaks to
the heart and sets,
the soul free.

I love the moment
when I close my eyes
and your heart so
tender beats next
to mine.

Kindness bestowed from
the heavens above, sends
in a dream your unselfish
love.
~

The waves of the ocean race to thes shore, speaks to me of the one I adore. You're the sun in my morning, the stars in my night, the love of my life that makes everything right.

The wind is known to us all, to whisper the song in its night call. Tell him I love and how much I care ,whispering wind tell him I am right there.

The moon so full and so bright looks down upon with a smile each night. The stars that shine in the sky over head are the stars out your window for you goodnight bed.

I am as close as a dream when you close your eyes and that my love is no surpise. Close your eyes and hold me close through the rest of the night.

Everyday is a holiday with you...

Holidays... hm overrated, though I can understand how some in a busy world need a little reminder to be ever so grateful for friends, life and the nourishment that is infused within the spirit. Okay! so there is a little sarcasm surfacing. The truth is every morning I am thankful for the memories, for the chance to create new ones and for the all over total experience, of giving and receiving the gifts that life in it self bestow upon us.
This past year has taken me down a variety of paths, each person I met, each turn and bump in the road in itself came with an eye awakening experience. I looked into the eyes of death, I felt the embrace in the arms of love and I felt a tremendous amount of growth which instilled in me hunger to know more , to be more , to give more. The journey entwined and surfaced with a broader view of life and the challenges of those who accompany us on the rocky road we call life.
Some would call them fond memories, those experiences over the years that surface throughout our life, but I see them as more than fond memories. The journey is the growth of the soul as it absorbs like a sponge all that we encompass.
Though the calendar might mandate we celebrate the holiday and allow family to join together in a one day celebration, I believe each day should be celebrated and thanks should be given in a daily reminder of how truly forunate our souls were to be given a chance to experience the walk on earth.
Today is the celebration of snowflakes, tomorrow the celebration of the winter sun, the star lit sky, the winter path, etc.

Rejoice! say I for we were born to walk a path where souls are torn. Close your eyes and you will see the bond of love for eternity.

The Winter Rose

The ice crystals had fallen and dressed the hills in white
and captured in the scene is a rose bud frozen tight.

Inquistive by nature, mysterious the sight, which
caused one little rose to stand its ground and fight.

It battled the heat of summer, stood firm through
days of fall and just one little rose bud standing
strong and tall, bloomed once more as winter
in all its fury made a call.

Music Box

The music box unwinds as the melody chimes,
note by note to my heart from the very start.
~
Pearl like candy canes dress the window panes,
a holiday look to the day remains.
~
Sing songs of love and shares the joy from
above, cloud like dreams with you and me.

For the Moment

Imagine for the moment you’re here with me,
arm in arm through the villa strolling.

~
Lights in colors all on display, celebrating the
magic of the holiday.
~
Gifts of the night abound, through the heart and
soul our love is found.

~
Gaze deep into my eyes to see, a view of a love
permeated dream.

~
The reflections of love are no surprise, viewed
in the midnight stars and each morning sunrise.

~
Close and closer to the great design that dreams
were created to calm the mind.

Imagine for the moment you’re here with me,
arm in arm through the villa strolling.

Happy Thanksgiving

Who holds the reigns of happiness?
Years back an acquaintance said to me "you must not allow your emotions to control you, you must control your emotions. I have found throughout life that people felt a suffering either of fear, anger, loneliness or hopelessness. Our quest to find happiness can be traced to our early ancestors. History shows a prevalence for jewelry, clothing, food and shelter went well above our needs to fulfill our wants. It is the temporary euphoria that keeps us hungering to feel the emptiness.
As I stood in line and watched the poorest of people gambling away their last dollar in an attempt to win a few more. I wondered would that moment of win bring them lasting happiness or just a temporary high? I gazed out the window, and I thought of the joy felt with each experience of life. Happiness is our own personal power to examine the trials of life and sort through them filing away that which brings negativity. Maintaining a positive state above all that we are taught is as simple as allowing all senses to devour the world around us. It is a bit cliche to say " is the glass half empty or half full?" I am not controlled by the ills of the world for I am above thy earthly pain and nothing shall weigh down the soul, neither circumstance nor experience or lack of it shall places chains on that which is free.
We are.. who we dare to be,
we feel what we dare to touch,
we choose what we dare to experience.
~
If I believe myself a victim, then a victim shall I be. If I give a platform to fear, then fear shall follow me. If anger be thy guide, then sorrow near awaits, but if I allow love within my heart , happiness is near and from the seeds of yesterday a bloom shall appear.
~
Ignorance breeds fear, fear partners with anger and despair and there within a field of negativity forms each individuals view of hell.

~
Self pity sows sorrow upon unfertile soil,
which grows nothing but weakness.
~

Happy Thanksgiving...... for we are all blessed with opportunity, but only few will act upon the moment.
~~
It is not upon the encounters of our own failure that we weep, but by our own lack of sight, that we blur the truth of circumstance.
~~
I am not separate from the world around me, I am one with the hills, trees and the hollow. As time takes hold of the moments and professes to retain the memories of life, I shall rejoice in the glory of each new day.

A Treasure of Memories

Every day's a holiday, just take a look around and see,
Jack frost is celebrating with his gift of diamond
sparkle on the trees.

The dew is frozen over, the stream is awfully calm and
if you dare to listen, you will hear a morning song.

Birds in a distance, calling out to you, hold on to
my heart and dance under skies of blue.

No need for paper Valentines, no holiday control,
the celebration that your feeling is the finding
of Gold.

The treasure on the mountains, the treasure out
to sea, the treasure is the memories of
when you were here with me.

Merry Christmas!

I can’t imagine anyone being threatened by Christmas or the message of hope, faith and love. I believe that no matter where your from or whether you pray or not. Turning a peaceful moment in to hatred is a sin against self. I have always found it hard to comprehend how people are so weak and so insecure that they can not respect another person’s belief . The world is so filled with hatred that the crime is to take a beautiful season and use it to make a political statement for their own religion or lack of religion . It brings me to the conclusion that anyone who would fight in the name of religion or find hatred in such beauty can not be to intelligent .

Merry Christmas! What does the words represent, I say hope that some day people will accept the differences and the beauty of diversity. Lay the path of peace and it shall overflow with love.

He who holds hatred in his heart battles his own demons.

The Memory Mirror

The growth of pine a foot a year
a shocking reminder, a memory mirror.
~
The reflection of time reminisce of fear
of life as it stands through trial and err.
~
Days of laughter , days of sorrow,
days that lead unto tomorrow.
~
One last glimpse of looking back,
to leave behind a cloud of black.
