Loneliness is its own hell

You can't help as you step forward to look back at your life and review the lessons that developed into today's memories. My son called first thing this morning, you would think I had something to do with all this excitement. He went on to speak of a woman he has had contact with for about six months now, they spent two days canoeing, hiking and playing board games. He shouted " she is perfect, she finishes my sentences,etc. She had done her home work on him, she met with his x and everything his x girlfriend complained but just made him that much more attractive to her. Soul mates? It is possible she is older and a bit wiser a but very intellectual, he just might have met his match. Six am and on the phone he hangs up with" I love ya mom. "

I think of life and all the missed opportunities and they why of it all. I think about the layers of life how separate they are meaningless but together they develop the personality of who we are today. In the English language one word can have many a meaning, this in itself leads to quite the misinterpretation. Or might that interpretation being the reflection of ones own inner soul? One of the words that came up in question was lust. The argument was that lust had no place in a loving relationship, that one who lust couldn't possibly love. That lust was emotionless desire for sex. It is true you can have lust without love and love with out lust, but imagine love and lust together.

Someday....

An idiom that I have heard repeated many times is "actions speak louder than words." There is so much truth to this statement. Entering the real world in both a personal and business sense, the idiom became quite the lesson. Though I found it at first difficult to distinguish from those with a gift of bull and those who were doer's. There were a few particular conversations that rose to the occasion as away of toying with a persons emotions. I thought why would someone choose to say things if they had no plans of carrying them out? Was it rattling on of nonsense,or the beginning for which one exaggerates, or do some people just feel really comfortable lying, not only to others but to them self. Several things came to mind one being ego, maybe they thought it was the right thing to say, caught up in the moment, might have been like a child that does not think as they spoke out without really giving it much thought, or still might it have been their insecurities that placed a pressure to respond to what they thought might be expected.
What I gained from these experiences was largely a high amount of respect for the person who dared to be honest in all occasions, how refreshing was this approach to life. Communication is an unlocking of an array of the various combination an exchange of thoughts. The art of conversation is always more enjoyed when those speaking are on the same plateau.There is a unique connection that is to be enjoyed with the highest amount of admiration.
I felt a need to re-explore the conversations that I had somehow retained like a branding on cattle, word by word each one was seared to either my mind or soul. As I reviewed the years all the words seem to reconnect, and a different visual now draped the memories.
The heart is not always on the same level as the mind, our mind is telling us one thing and our heart another, this habitual tug of war has at times complicated life. The past experiences gave me more insight as they shed new light on the ways of human behavior. It is by all means about the inner character and that explains much about people, particularly myself and those I have chanced to meet.

Passion

If it be the latter welcome to sharing my straight jacket ....... I have searched and reviewed my own opinions on happiness. In retrospect I see a certain amount of personal control or a disposition for optimism and how it plays a part in the feelings of elation. A natural high to living life finds us at times reaching outside the barriers of our own existence to grasp at the true signs of happiness. I have never been more certain that life is predetermined or at least it would be safe to say that our genetic road map will guide us down certain paths, due to our personality traits and what we hope to accomplish.

I thought about life and most of the times I would consider myself happy and then I looked at the times that I felt sadness. My heart ached at the loss of another, at the loss of control over my own personal situations. I gathered all the memories and like a bouquet watched them bloom all the moments that we shared dancing through life under a midnight moon.


This is my "depressed stance." When you're depressed, it makes a lot of difference how you stand. Though I must say that I think William Wordsworth said it best. Love, life and the magical gifts occur throughout the day are abundant, for those who have the insight to catch them. For happiness is in the morning that I wake up with the smile from memories and the warmth of the sun that reminds us what is truly our basic needs.

To feel the suns rays warm against the face and taste the water pure and in life gently bathe. I shan't shame myself into sorrow for that which has not occurred, I have dreamt the life of king and queens though a pauper I may be, but with your friendship by my side, I have the wealth from the star lit sky to deepest parts of the seas.
