Sunshine

Some can't see the sunshine
through the skies dark and gray,
even though the rain is falling
the light of love brightens the day.

Showers of happiness and joy
from all that we have shared,
days of living and loving
show how much one can care.

Such a simple song, that can carry so much meaning. When the children were very young it was one of the first songs they ever sang. Even my son Nicholas who drives me crazy as an adult warmed my heart at two years of age when he sang to a crowd while on vacation. " You are my sunshine"
I have tried to place the reigns upon time, to only find that it has slipped threw my fingers. I look back at life as a set of chapters some that I would rather avoid reviewing and others that are worth the memory.
To-NY You have taught me the true meaning of friendship. Knowing that keeps me from derailing when it is not as obvious that behind even the grayest of the clouds the sun still shines.
Arms Wide Open, I must say the only line that comes to mind from gone with the wind is " Darling I just don't give a damn." In some ways when it comes to work that I don't give a damn stubbornness kept me going through the nay sayer stage.
Simple songs that reflect a life time.
Sings...You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are gray, You'll never now dear how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away.
Thank you both for your loving comments.
