Summer Blue

You're Never Very Far

I watched the sunrise and
the sky a summer blue,
as I gazed on out the window
all my thoughts turned to you.

I quivered at mere mention
of the love we both share and
I knew at that very moment
how much one could care.

Embracing without touching
like a breeze to my cheek
I felt the magic of your love
so tender, kind and sweet.

The song birds began singing,
the trees a silhouette make and
and there the distance and miles
began to simply fade.

It is relativity quite simple
as I hold you in my heart and
there I keep your precious love
so you're never very far.

~

The song of the heart
sings of your sweet love,
fills the air with melody
in celebration of two souls
as one.

Arms around you tight,
I'd kissed your lips goodnight,
if only in my nightly dreams
I hold you tenderly for life.

The song of the heart
sings of your sweet love,
fills the air with melody
in celebration of two souls
as one.
