When the children were little and they were tired or under the weather, I would sing them to sleep in hopes that when they awake they would be better. If life could only be that easy, that a song could put us to sleep and we would wake up woe free. Strange as it maybe growing up in a very structural family with stringent rules , there was also much compassion and love. I can remember always battling an illness of some sort as a child and I can always remember that music and song was very comforting. My daughter is having her biopsy done Friday and if only I could sing away her woes.
