Poetry... as my soul sings what my heart reveals.

I meaning one spirit, one dream, one heart, one entity
separate of everything, one with you,
undivided, forever true

I saw the dream and the dream revealed,
the steps in life, the ocean sailed, rolling
meadows, valleys deep, the respect for life,
the love we keep. I whispered heavenly,
this my plea, to hold his heart for eternity.

  1. When you're a child, old age and what we perceive to be old takes on a different view. As we get older it does the complete opposite we look at people who pass away and we say but they were only... When I lived with my Aunt Helen, my uncle always seemed old. I am not sure if that's because he looked old or that I always heard her say" stay out of your uncles Stans room he is sleeping." I would think our actions do play a part on aging. When it comes to love stories and music it seems to be concentrated many times on young love. Though TV never played a big part in our lives, as it was very limited our exposure to it , I do remember Sundays. Sunday we always had pot roast and of course it was movies with Regis Cordic. Many times they were Jerry and Dean movies and sometimes musicals. I was very aware of older people and how they reacted and related to one and other in a romantic way. I had a crush on a boy in a grade older than me, it was his parents that caught my attention though. I use to think they were older, but now that I look back I guess they weren't really that old. They always held hands and showed little hints of affection. It reminded me of the movie the music man. Shirley Jones in the movie appeared to have never found love and the song came to me this morning. It doesn't matter when you become exposed to love as long as you are open to the dream. Sings > There were bells on a hill but I never heard them ringing, no I never heard them at all, till there was you.

Till There Was You lyrics
There were bells on a hill
But I never heard them ringing
No I never heard them at all
Till there was you

There were birds in the sky
But I never saw them winging
No I never saw them at all
Till there was you

Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and you

There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
Till there was you

Then there was music and wonderful roses
They tell me in sweet fragrant meadows of dawn and you

There was love all around
But I never heard it singing
No I never heard it at all
Till there was you

Till there was you

You kept my head afloat and you led me to the shore, took me to the mountains where my soul could explore. Gave to me the moment and the ability to dream, with you my love beside you taught my heart to sing.

Even in the dark shadows of my mind,

the truth is eminent.
Hey little sandpipers perform for me,
create a heart that he can see.

Acknowledge my love, give to it a dream
and as you take flight, set my love free.

Hey little sandpipers, what is this I see,
a whisper of my love in a sweet memory.

Amazingly free in the blue of the sky,
the gulls took to flight and my heart to mind,
The visions were clear I certainly could see,
the silhouette was of you and me.
~
I always felt a real distance from people, I still in many instances do. There is a sense of fluff that I have never quite adjusted to. Maybe it is the child in me that rambles off without first thinking. Either way it does feel right, standing next to you, climbing those mountains and challenging the dream. When I feel trapped in the web that time itself created, I close my eyes and I reach with my soul beyond an entrapment, to the true arms of love.

"Till There Was You" is one of my favorites. "The Music Man" has to be in my top five favorite movies. Love how love works!
